Description
In this path you will learn how to create Windows store applications that run under Windows 8.x RT. You will begin with an introduction to Windows 8 store applications including how the CLR (Common Language Runtime) fits in. You will learn what the differences are between building applications using CS/XAML and JavaScript/HTML/CSS. You will explore the various project templates in Visual Studio. You will learn about application capabilities and will create a simple browser application with appropriate event handlers. You will discover how to add code to save the application state in order to make your applications more interactive. Finally, you will learn how to take advantage of many of the new Windows 8 features including the App Bar, bindings, shapes, brushes, animations, notifications and toast, charms, tiles, templates, and much more.
