Newsflash! ASP.NET Core Adds New Component Type

It’s not uncommon for a website to have content repeated in various places throughout the site, whether it’s a list of most popular blog posts or a tag cloud that shows up in a sidebar on every page. The list of the ways that content can be repeated goes on and on, limited only by your creativity and passion about the DRY principle: don’t repeat yourself. Classic ASP.NET has long had a few ways to create and manage reusable user interface widgets, but with ASP.NET Core, there’s a new kid on the block: View Components.
