CASP, Part 1: Cryptography

with expert David Bigger

Do you want to know more about protecting your data on your computer? Would you like to see the ins and outs of how that happens? In this course we are going to dive right into Cryptography and talk about encryption algorithms like 3DES and AES. We will start the discussion about symmetric encryption versus asymmetric encryption, which is better, which do we use and why. Also, we will look at some tools you can use to secure your data, both on your hard drive or through emails. The integrity of your data is also very important so hashing will be covered in this course allowing you to see if the data you are downloading is authentic. Wrapping up the course will be the public key infrastructure where we will see how it works under the hood to keep your online shopping, banking and other transactions secure.
